Surrounded by a rich culture and heritage, I grew up in the beautiful city of Jaipur, also known as the Pink City of India. My dreams of traveling and exploring the world brought me to the United States. I completed a Bachelor’s in Biology at Arcadia University, Pennsylvania and a Master’s in Nursing from University of San Francisco. As a student, I had the opportunity to rotate at the San Francisco General Hospital (SFGH) and was deeply moved by the dedication of staff towards the underserved population. I spent the next 7 years as a Registered Nurse on the Medical-Surgical Unit at SFGH, serving a multi-cultural and socio-economically diverse community. My desire to prevent recurrent hospitalizations and provide preventative care to patients led me to pursue a Post-Master’s Degree, as a Family Nurse Practitioner from University of California San Francisco. My experiences have taught me to meet my patients where they are and develop a partnership with them to achieve their health goals. I am passionate about providing evidence-based holistic care to my patients, advocating for them across multi-disciplinary teams, and ultimately improving their health outcomes. I am fluent in English and Hindi. I enjoy traveling, baking and hiking the various bay area trails with my daughter and husband.
