Dr. Ferris grew up in Canada and moved to the Bay Area as a young teen. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Zoology from the University of California, Davis and received her medical degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor in 1998. After medical school, Dr. Ferris returned to the warmth of her home state and completed a residency in Family Medicine at the Mercy Redding Family Medicine Residency Program in Redding, a UC Davis affiliated program.
Dr. Ferris enjoys the breadth of primary care and taking the time to get to know her patients and their concerns. She listens carefully and strives to explains things in a way that makes sense to her patients, and appreciates partnering with them to help them achieve their best health possible. In her free time, Dr. Ferris enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She loves the outdoors, and enjoys travel, skiing, backpacking and camping.
